John 15:12; This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you….

         I read from Spurgeon’s Morning/Evening devotional this morning, and it was from Song of Solomon 4:7, “And there is no spot in thee”…. and this is what he had to share;

Having pronounced his Church positively full of beauty, our Lord confirms his praise by a precious negative, “There is no spot in thee.” As if the thought occurred to the Bridegroom that the carping world would insinuate that he had only mentioned her comely parts, and had purposely omitted those features which were deformed or defiled, he sums up all by declaring her universally and entirely fair, and utterly devoid of stain. A spot may soon be removed, and is the very least thing that can disfigure beauty, but even from this little blemish the believer is delivered in his Lord’s sight. If he had said there is no hideous scar, no horrible deformity, no deadly ulcer, we might even then have marvelled; but when he testifies that she is free from the slightest spot, all these other forms of defilement are included, and the depth of wonder is increased. If he had but promised to remove all spots by-and-by, we should have had eternal reason for joy; but when he speaks of it as already done, who can restrain the most intense emotions of satisfaction and delight? O my soul, here is marrow and fatness for thee; eat thy full, and be satisfied with royal dainties.”

“Christ Jesus has no quarrel with his spouse. She often wanders from him, and grieves his Holy Spirit, but he does not allow her faults to affect his love. He sometimes chides, but it is always in the tenderest manner, with the kindest intentions: it is “my love” even then. There is no remembrance of our follies, he does not cherish ill thoughts of us, but he pardons and loves as well after the offence as before it. It is well for us it is so, for if Jesus were as mindful of injuries as we are, how could he commune with us? Many a time a believer will put himself out of humour with the Lord for some slight turn in providence, but our precious Husband knows our silly hearts too well to take any offence at our ill manners.”

   After I had read this, I by the gentle influence of the Holy Spirit realized, which seems to be the teaching pattern of late for me, we need to view this and practice it with the assistance of the Holy Spirit amongst ourselves.  I being the first to admit that I have had this struggle regarding myself towards others, but as of late I am coming to terms with this, and by God’s grace I’m acting upon it as He would have me do according to the light given to me to understand.

      We all have areas which “peeve” us off with one another, and inadvertently causes us to question at times ones ‘belief system” and or possibly ones faith all together. But, we are all at differing measures of grace in our place within the Lord.

       And as Spurgeon wrote, particularly the above underlined, I see now, that we must all view one another as our Dear Lord, views us.  Our Lord knows what He is capable of in changing us into His likeness, and causing us to grow in the knowledge of who He is and how He desires us to act towards one another, because He knows “All things are possible with God” through His Holy Spirit.

      We all need to realize that we all have varying gifts by the Holy Spirit to be utilized for the “edifying of the Body of Christ”

Eph 4:1  I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

Eph 4:2  With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

Eph 4:3  Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Eph 4:4  There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

Eph 4:5  One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

Eph 4:6  One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Eph 4:7  But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Eph 4:8  Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

Eph 4:9  (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

Eph 4:10  He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

Eph 4:11  And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

Eph 4:12  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Eph 4:13  Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Eph 4:14  That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

Eph 4:15  But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Eph 4:16  From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

So when we see a fault, or an error in teaching or a mis-understanding of a teaching, we by faith and hope in Christ must pray for one another’s good and be faithful to correct a wrong belief, a teaching or certain fleshly actions, as guided by the Holy Spirit. That in turn would bring Glory and Honour towards His name by edifying the Body of Christ, His Bride and bring about true unity and mankind will take note.

Joh 13:34  A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Joh 13:35  By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

      We have all at one time or another failed in this miserably, and presently still do, but it needs to be corrected.  We need to ask the Lord where we have failed, and when, and ask Him to bring us together as one unit in the faith, as He is one with the Father in Heaven.  We must desist on standing on our “fleshly understanding” of the scriptures, we must stop allowing personal “biases” and personal “prejudices” to stunt the growth of another believer.  We all need to take this to heart, and ask our Merciful Lord to change this within us, to be patient with one another enduring suffering when we are chided for trying to correct the brethren in their erring ways.  We need to humble ourselves and pray for them and their good, so that the Lord would be glorified within them and that He be glorified by doing so.

       We need to surrender ALL our close associations to His perfect will.  If we prefer one another, above the perfect will of the Lord, then we compromise the faith, and the truth that Christ stood for,   we then inadvertently compromise the very Gospel that we supposedly love. We are taught that we must NOT know no man after the flesh.

2Co 5:15  And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
2Co 5:16  Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
2Co 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Rom_8:5  For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

That is why we need to ask the Lord for the grace and strength to Love one another in truth and Love in the Holy Spirit, revealing what is acceptable unto the Lord, and Him only.  As stated here:

Eph 5:9  (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

Eph 5:10  Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

Eph 5:11  And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

      I love Spurgeon, and though he may have had his faults and errors, anyone who is lead of the Spirit, and is born of His Spirit will know that Spurgeon was close to the Lord and that the Lord revealed Himself through the unction of the Holy Spirit, because it is so prevalent in the words he writes which  brings forth such glorious insight and light into our understanding of our Lord’s ways which leads unto  life.

 Joh_1:4  In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Joh_6:63  It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

     May the good and gracious Lord bless this to your understanding so that we may grow in the true unity of the Faith which is found in Jesus Christ.

       In His Eternal Love…

A time of separation….. a time of silence….

Ecc 3:1  To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
Ecc 3:3  A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
Ecc 3:7  A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

         It’s been seven months since my last written entry, and it has been a time of casting away things which were interrupting, or I should say, interfering with my seeking and  communing with the Lord.  I felt I needed to have a closer walk with Him so I started to withdraw myself from those “little interferences” and ‘Face Book’ was one of them.  Having a ‘high strung’ nature I found FB was becoming an addiction, I couldn’t go a day without checking up on who wrote what, where they were at, who liked something I wrote, what new picture was posted, and who commented on a Christian teaching posted on a few of my “friends” pages….it was relentless, and it was causing me some emotional hyperactivity!

          I stopped seeing and communicating with certain people with whom I felt I needed to step back from and take a closer look ‘why’ I was desiring to socialize with them.  It was a total scrutinizing of the motives. As I took the necessary steps to ‘withdraw’ I cried out to the Lord to bring me closer to Him, and to reveal those things which hindered a closer walk with Him.  We  really do need to cause ourselves to seek the Lord, so if we ask, He shall do it, and did he do it!

1Ch_16:10  Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
1Ch_16:11  Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.
Psa_9:10  And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
Psa_22:26  The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.
Psa_27:8  When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.
Psa_63:1  A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

          Mat_6:33  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Mat_7:7  Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

         These are but a few, but I do think it gets my point across.  And when we set out to seek the Lord for answers, as I did, I just asked Him to reveal those things which were so deep that needed healing or deliverance to be able to repent from , “please shine your Holy Spirit within me and let me see those sins, and bondage’s which needed to be dealt with”….and you know what?  He did, step by step and bit by bit it was accomplished.  I had some real trials and emotional issues, and some terrible besetting sins, and I knew it was affecting my close walk with Him.  I was also fed up with my position in a private home as a attendant, felt lonely, no real social life, everything was just dead and the person I worked for was becoming unbearable for me.  I was not in a peaceful and calm place, I was suffering from many bouts of depression, emotional mode swings, impatience with everything and all most everybody.

          When I had reached a plateau of “having enough” I wanted to run;   I was on the re-occurring,  self-sabotaging road again!  Something I did from the age of 4, anything too uncomfortable after a while, I would seek out a change.  I cried out to my Heavenly Father and asked for help, “show me what to do…….Please?”  When He saw I was being sincere and truly desiring, these simple words came to my mind….”it’s not yet the time” (to run) and……”Humble yourself”.  I knew immediately what He was desiring  me to do, that I should humble myself before the gentleman with whom I attend too, and discuss with him my concerns and frustrations, also along with some apologizing which was forthcoming due to my “attitude” towards him.

          Now as I mentioned this  scripture came to mind, which I read from a devotional reading this morning, it’s from Exodus 14:13 …..“Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord”….  When we at times come to a place that is difficult….you know between a “rock and a hard place” we need to just “be still….stand still……wait patiently….and listen”.  There is a  disciplinary phrase that is utilized now days by parents towards children when they are out of control, “Time Out” and that I find is befitting to what I’m trying to convey.    And trust me this took many years for me to come to understand this, because I did at one time view “chastisements” as a rejection, I know differently now, and the Lord got me there step by step.

          I read from Joel 2:11 “His Camp is very great”, and in this chapter the Lord speaks of His Great mercy and kindness, and how He uses ALL things great and small to bring His people to repentance.  He uses all creation for His use, for judgement and correction.  In verse 25, the Lord states “And I will restore to you the years the locust hath eaten, the canker worm, and the caterpillar, and the palmer worm, my great army which I sent among you”.  In other words, He pulls down and with the same hand builds up.  All for our good.  It is the Lord that brings these things upon us to “Chastise” us, to correct us and to deliver us from our fleshly ways.  It all works to bring about the Peaceable fruit of Righteousness.

          As it states in the next verse 26; “And ye shall eat in plenty (Spiritual Food) and be satisfied, and Praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wonderously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed”.  I understand this… that when we come to judgement now concerning sinful ways and attitudes and come to repentance, we won’t be ashamed when we stand at the judgement seat of Christ on the last day.

           So as we allow the Lord to chastise us, there is a promise which follows, as read in verse 32, of Joel 2;  “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be delivered; for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.”

            I will give a resounding AMEN to that!

            So dear brethren be blessed, and despise NOT the chastisements of our dear LORD, for it truly is for our own good.  And for some of us, it can take awhile to truly understand and believe this. But HE shall get us there!  So give thanks to our most wonderful creator and maker of our souls!  For the Love of God shall in no wise cast us out and nothing can separate us from HIS Merciful Love and Care!

The Bride of Christ………His Body, His Church…..We are betrothed unto HIM!!!!

bible-heartGreetings brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ, the Lover of our Souls. This day as I went about my Monday duties, this wonderful Hymn came pouring into my spirit, mind and soul.

I just started humming it over and over, unfortunately not knowing verses, it’s the chorus that I did remember:

“Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him,”
“How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er,”
“Jesus, Jesus, Precious Jesus!”
“O for grace to trust Him more.”

Then I went on to add these words at the last line, “O for Grace to Love you more.”

Yes we all need more grace to Love our dear Lord more. Let us desire to be like Apostle John, as he laid his head upon the breast of his dear Lord during the Last Supper.

As I pondered upon that wonderful written testament of John leaning ever on his Saviours breast…. on the last night together before His death.

Can you imagine what John “may” have thought, when he could hear that gentle heart beating, pumping that glorious blood through His Body, the blood that was soon after to be shed for the likes of you and me.

Oh let us cry out to our dear Heavenly Father asking Him to please give us grace to Love Him more, so that our hearts may beat as one with the Risen Lord, who is seated on the Right Hand of the Father with all Authority, Power and Righteousness!

Here is a link that will take you to this wonderful old time Hymn be blessed as I was.

To lift up Jesus in our Lives….to give unto Him all the Glory and Honour that He so rightly deserves.
And may we remember His commandment unto us His children;

Joh 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
Joh 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
In Spirit and in Truth.

The Trust and Faith we have come from and through Christ our Lord……

     On April 30th, 2010 during my quiet time with the Lord and His Word, He gave me understanding from where all our Faith and Trust towards God comes from.  It is from Himself, and nothing of ourselves.  For it is in Him where ALL of our sufficiency is from:

How the Characteristics of Grace Appear

And we have such trust through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant.  (2Co_ 3:4-6)

     As I read this in today’s devotional, I was caught by the first nine words; “And we have such trust through Christ toward God”. These words truly stuck out, “such trust through Christ”, that this ‘trust’ and ‘Faith’ is all through Christ, since we be hid in Christ Jesus, then all His Faith and Trust in God, will become ours, or is ours more and more as we grow in measure Grace to Grace.  As He brings us into a more ‘mature’ relationship, our Faith in God grows as well as our Trust for all this comes from Jesus Christ himself. “To be one, as we are one”.

Eph_4:7  But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

     That is why ‘nothing’ comes from within ourselves, it is all a gift of grace from God the Father because of Jesus Christ and His Faith and Trust towards God His Father.  So that explains why “our sufficiency is from God” because Christ’s sufficiency came from His Father, God himself, through the work of the Holy Spirit.  Did not Jesus say, “I do nothing of myself”?

Joh 8:28  Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

Everything Jesus did was according to God’s will, for He said, “I came not to do my will”;

Joh 5:30  I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

      So that is why all of our sufficiency comes from God through Jesus Christ, for we are “hid in Christ”.  Everything that was found in Christ towards His relationship to God the Father and His Will is to be ours also, if we be truly born of God’s spirit. Born from above of incorruptible seed, not from the fleshly seed of self-works, tradition or religiousness.  It is all by Faith in Him and His Promises towards us for His purposes.

1Pe_1:23  Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

      2Pe_3:18  But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

May the Lord bless this to each and everyone of you according to the Lord’s will and purpose.

In His Eternal Love……….

Jesus knows how to “ravish” the hearts of men!

       Here is some quiet time reflection which I would like to share…….. I still find this so encouraging and uplifting after 7 years.

May 22, 05

 “Behold, thou art fair, my Beloved.”

“Eternity shall not discover the shadow of a spot in our Beloved, but rather, as ages revolve, his hidden glories shall shine forth with yet more inconceivable splendour, and his unutterable loveliness shall more and more ravish all celestial minds.” (Spurgeons Devotional)

     Just to think of all that splendor is hard to conceive, we may see with our eyes of faith, but our fleshly minds can not contain it, nor know what to do with it.  We can rejoice to know the knowledge of it, but our rejoicing will be at it’s fullest when we see Him face to face throughout all eternity.  And the promise of that just lifts my unworthy heart to gaze upon Him, and thank Him for Him and His Calvary.

     I love the word which Spurgeon speaks here, “ravish”, what a glorious word!  For only Jesus is able to “ravish” the hearts of men, when He sets forth to place the Love of God within a mere mortals fleshly and darkened heart, that Love is His to keep within by the power of His Holy Spirit.  We, Adamicly speaking, have not the capacity to love in such a way.  I Praise God for All He has done for us sinners!

     May the Good Shepherd above ravish my heart a new.  Just the thought of those past memories where His Love ravished my heart… just the remembrance…., brings a long overdue renewal.  For so many days come and go, on and on, year in and out, days, weeks, months, seconds into minutes, and minutes rushing into short or ohhhh… long hours of busyness, dealings, failures, forgetfulness, nothingness or downright “sinfulness”.   Yet He is still there in all His Brilliance, and yes, “Ravishing” loveliness.  Brilliant beyond words, ever lasting Radiance which out shines every sun and star throughout the Galaxy!  Pure, unadulterated Glorious Light!!!!!!   The Light of Life, real Truthful Light, a Light overflowing with such Amazing Love, all separate, yet, it is All in One,  the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a “ransom” for us all,  the only One who ever could……thoughts by cwt

Be blessed………in His Eternal Love……..

In His Garden, still and quiet…..He speaks……love so profound…..His love……which still astounds!

“I Walk in the Garden……I hear His voice….”

Son 6:2  My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.
Son 6:3  I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.

       I am so greatly awed at the reality, that I, small insignificant me has a living, walking, talking, loving relationship with the Almighty God of all creation.  The one who existed before time memorial, eternal past, and eternal future.  That I have a relationship in common with all those who by faith; have believed, followed, obeyed, and sometimes disobeyed, faltered, doubted, and experienced untold distress due to trials.  From Adam, Eve, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, King David, all the major prophets; the minor prophets, Daniel, the faithful Levitical priesthood, Ester and all the woman honored in the Book of Life, and all those who were the unnamed remnants chosen by the Lord in times past for His Glory.  Then the Lord Jesus Christ himself, John the Baptist, His disciples, the Apostles; Paul, Peter, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, the teachers, pastors who lived at the birthing of the Body of Christ, and all those that faithfully served our Lord and His servants.

      We all have the one common denominator, a life in Christ Jesus, who granted us with the Gift of Grace to believe upon Him which caused us to repent of our sins, and turn to Him, to be our God, our King, our Lord, our Saviour…..the Lover of our souls!  This is such an unspeakable, mesmerizing truth, that Jesus Christ, God the Father, and God the Holy Spirit lives and dwells within and walks in the Garden of my Heart, a heart which through Him and by Him desires to Know Him, to grow into all the fullness of His purposed plan for my life…….actually…… unto all that know Him.

      For me this is the greatest Love Story my heart, my soul, my mind, my complete being shall ever know.  Psalm 23 is a total expression of that Love that He holds for each and everyone of us that truly Know Him……

Psa 23:1  A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Psa 23:2  He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
Psa 23:3  He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Psa 23:4  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Psa 23:5  Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Psa 23:6  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

       For He sought me out, He sought us all out, purchased us with His precious life giving blood, cleansed us, redeemed me and you.  Oh….. such a glorious reality that I and all of you have been so blessed to have this life granted unto us according to His Predestined Will…..such Love so divine… pure… Holy…..such unspeakable, unsearchable Love.

       There is a wonderful song penned so long ago………that still holds true for today, it raptures my soul, it speaks of His Glorious Love that He has for you and me……….

I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear, falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses

And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known

He speaks and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing

And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known

I’d stay in the garden with Him
‘Tho the night around me be falling
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling

And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known

       His relationship to me is that singular, that personal, tailored just for me…….. it should be true for each of His dear children, such an honour, such a privilege to know that through this relationship, by getting to know Him, and Him crucified, that the Love He shares with me, and shares with you, will and should lead us to Love One another as HE has LOVED us, in Spirit and in Truth.

       Be blessed………...

Psa 67:1  To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm or Song. God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.
Psa 67:2  That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.

The Bountiful dealings of the Lord……they are painful, but wonderfully needed.

Heb 12:11  Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

        My morning alone time with my Lord brought me to a place of thanksgiving, for I wrote in my journal; “Thank you Lord for the season of spring, renewal within my soul! For the Lord has dealt bountifully with my soul!”  This gratefulness was due to the Lord’s hand being heavy upon me, for He was dealing with me concerning some deep, long besetting sin that I have been struggling with for too many yearsI put my trust and hope in Him to deliver me from it, and boy did he ever!

        In His time in His season, He brought forth the promised death and burial of the old man,oh I Praise the Lord for His faithfulness, He brought forth the needed judgement, and now I know I can walk in the newness of the new man which is in Christ Jesus by faith!

       The word bountiful beautifully expresses my sentiments after the time of chastisement.  It brought forth the needed fruit of righteousness, and it brought me into a renewed fellowship with the Lover of my Soul!  Bountiful is expressed four times in the Old Testament they all occur in the lovely Psalms of David:

Psa 13:5  But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.
Psa 13:6  I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.

Psa 116:6  The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.
Psa 116:7  Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.
Psa 116:8  For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
Psa 119:17  GIMEL. Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word.
Psa 119:18  Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
Psa 142:7  Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.

       This word occurs four times, and 4 represents the creativeness of the Lord, such as fire, water, earth, heaven.  Then there are the four seasons, and the Lord has often used the four seasons to show me how they compare with our walk of faith.  We can and will experience all sorts of seasons in our soul, but that can be a whole other entry as the Lord should lead.  But for now this is dealing with the loving chastisements of our Heavenly Father.  If we have placed ourselves as the “living sacrifices” mentioned in Romans 12:1, He shall surely take us up on that “self-offering” so that He may sanctify every portion. every part of our Spirit, soul, mind, and body.

        It took the Lord a while to settle me down and view His corrections as loving, my mother corrected us harshly and many times unjustly and with violence and physical abuse.  The Lord had to really do some work to get me to trust Him, I weep now at the thought of His gentle loving-kindness towards me, His endless patience with me through these past three plus decades.  He comes down to our level, He understands all we have been through, and it took me so long to understand that I needed not to pretend to be something I was not, He helped me to bring down so many barriers of self-protection, but through all of His corrections….He got me there….Jesus did it all!

      So the next verses from Hebrews are to encourage you to trust in the Lord and to know that His chastisement are for our good….and of course for His Glory, for He that has started a good work in us shall finish it!

Heb 12:5  And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
Heb 12:6  For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
Heb 12:7  If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
Heb 12:8  But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
Heb 12:9  Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
Heb 12:10  For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

        It’s His promise to us, and trust me I have found that my Lord, our Lord, our God is worthy to be trusted, and you shall cherish Him for it, for it truly is the most fulfilling, the most heart wrenching Holy love that your soul shall EVER know!

Predestined unto Salvation……by the will of God

        Eph 1:4  “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:”
Eph 1:5  “Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,”

       I read Ephesians 1:1-8 on the morning of May 1oth after having gone through another episode known as the ‘sanctification’ process.  It’s always very difficult when that season of chastisement is upon me, and the hand of Lord is heavy for he desires to bring something to judgement that resides within me, and I need to see “it to the death”.  As the scriptures state:

Heb 12:5  “And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:”
Heb 12:6  “For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.”
Heb 12:7  “If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?”

      Trust me when I say the Lord has plenty to work upon, due to the sexual abuse, physical and emotional abuse.  Also dealing with some of the “chaff” leftover from the homosexual lifestyle.  And the ‘cult’ I got involved within months of me becoming a born-again believer and all the false teaching, which happened to be “doctrine of demons”.  Gender issues….. spiritual pride, pride, anger, all the works of the flesh, trying to live holy in the strength of the flesh…..I mean the list just goes on…..and on, but so does the faithfulness of our Lord in dealing with all of our individual “isms” as I tend to call them.

      So after the encounters dealing with the sins of the flesh and feeling rather”raw” for a couple of days, after the sting of correction, conviction, confessing, repenting and forgiveness,  the Lord caused me to read the above the day after in my morning quiet time. What a blessed time it was with Him.  He used it to show me that all I’ve gone through, presently go through, and will go through, is all under His control, and that it has all been pre-planned, orchestrated according to His perfect will and it is all  proof of His incredible unwavering love and faithfulness as a Father.

     He caused me to see more clearly the reality of that Love, He…. God the Father, sent Jesus Christ in my place to shed His blood, so that I may be adopted, purchased by His blood, and being accepted in the beloved.  Beloved…….do you know what that means to really know and feel that I am “beloved”That we lost sinners..nigh unto eternal death and darkness, have been predestined and chosen for this intimate, loving, caring, truthful and secure relationship with the God of the Universe, the Father to our most beloved Saviour, and that He had planned all of this just for us, and to cast that most Holy,  Wonderful, and everlasting Love upon us and within us through and by the Love of Christ!  This always makes me weep to know and see such love, when my parents could not love me as they should, but GOD came and took me up, as He can take us each up into His Everlasting arms.

      That morning quiet time, ended up being a time of refreshing…..time of restoring….a time to remind me of and fill me with His Love divine. As the scriptures state:

Eph_1:6  “To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.”

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 2nd Corinthians 11:13-14
